Yes. Polish Index™ is built around your saves, so everyone signs in with a free account. Signing up takes about a minute, and the free plan includes searching the full index, Favorites, My Collection, Inspo Boards, reviews, and submitting polishes to the index.

Favorites are polishes you want. My Collection is what you own, organized into Drawers if you like. Inspo Boards are for planning a look, an event, or a vibe.

Go to Faves, open the Inspo Boards tab, and tap New Board. You can also add any polish straight to a board from its detail page. Boards start private; flip one to Public with its privacy selector whenever you want to share it.

On any polish page, tap the collection action to mark it as owned. If a polish you own is not in the index yet, you can add it to My Collection as a manual entry and send it to us through Submit to Index so we can add it for everyone.

Pro removes the save caps (the free plan includes 25 Favorites, 10 My Collection polishes, and 3 Inspo Boards), and unlocks the Allergen Profile, the manicure tracker, brand-only dupe filtering, and the personal Clean Beauty filters. You will see a little sapphire diamond wherever a Pro feature lives, and an unlocked sapphire padlock once it is yours.

By how close the colors actually are, measured shade to shade, not by brand popularity. The closest matches sort first.

Polish Index™ prides itself on accuracy, so we only source data from official brand websites, never third-party sites, to keep the database clean and current. That means some records are still thin: a missing photo, ingredient list, or detail. We never guess, so a thin record says so honestly. If you know the polish, use the Help Us Out card on its page when it appears, or send us the details through our report feature.

We add brands in waves, so some shades are not tracked yet, and we are always looking to add more! You can add it to My Collection as a manual entry, and please send it our way through Submit to Index. We love community submissions and encourage them. Pro members who submit a new brand to the index get featured as a brand contributor. You can watch yours move through review in your submission tracker.

Open the polish and tap Report on its page. Pick everything that looks wrong, attach a photo if you have one, and send it. We look at every report, and you can track yours in My Reports under My Account.

Use Report a Technical Issue. Pick what is going on, add a screenshot if you can, and send it. It lands with our team right away and shows up in your My Reports tracker like any other report.

Write a review from any polish page. Every review goes through a quick check before it shows publicly, and you can watch its status in My Reviews. Editing a live review sends it back through the same check.

Your saves are private unless you make them public. Favorites, My Collection, boards, and manicures each have a Public or Private selector, so you are always in control. And here is the easy way to remember it: pink means Public 🩷

Open their profile and tap Follow. Public accounts connect right away; private accounts get a request they can approve. You will find people through Community, reviews, and the polish pages they have contributed to.

Yes! Use Color Match to pull a shade from a photo or straight from your camera, and we will show you the closest polishes in the index.
